Is your market still open?
We hold one contractor per trade per market. Tell us yours and we'll check the search demand, the competition, and whether the territory is available.
- Real search volume for your trade across your metro
- Who currently ranks, and whether that's beatable
- Whether the territory is claimed
- A realistic price range if it's open
If it isn't a fit, we'll tell you that instead of selling you something
A territory check tells you three things: how many people in your market search for your service each month, whether the current first page of results is beatable by a new site, and whether we have already placed a contractor in that territory. It is free, and it takes one business day.
Why do we limit one contractor per market?
Because exclusivity is the entire product. The moment a lead is sold twice it stops being a lead and becomes an auction entry. Holding a territory means we turn away every other contractor in your trade and your city for as long as you are with us — which is why we cannot simply sign everyone who asks.
What if the demand is not there?
We tell you. Some trades in some markets do not generate enough monthly search volume to justify building a site, and no amount of good work changes that. Selling you a build in a market with no demand would take your money and produce nothing, and it is the single most common way contractors get burned in this industry.
What if page one is already locked up?
Also possible, and also a reason we decline. If the top organic results are established local companies with a decade of history and hundreds of reviews, a new site faces a long uphill climb. We would rather say so than take a build fee and hope.
What happens next
We run the numbers
Search demand for every relevant service and city combination in your area, plus an assessment of who currently holds page one.
You get a straight answer
Open or taken. Winnable or not. With the actual demand figures, not a sales pitch built on adjectives.
If it works, we talk terms
Which pricing model fits your trade, what the build covers, and roughly when you should expect the phone to start ringing.
What does the check actually involve?
We pull real search volume for your service across your metro and surrounding towns, look at who currently ranks on page one, and check whether we've already placed a contractor there.
How long does it take?
One business day in most cases.
Is it free?
Yes, and there's no obligation. Roughly a third of the checks we run end with us telling someone their market isn't a fit.
What if my market is already taken?
We'll tell you straight away and add you to the list for that territory. If the current contractor leaves, you get first refusal.
